Magic Tricks Using Paper

If you are interested in learning magic you will need to practice the tricks over and over until you feel comfortable doing them. It is a fun past time that a lot of people enjoy doing.

One of the most clever tricks that you can do is the paper trick. The trick is to tear the paper and then ‘magically’ put it back together.

You will need to hand out two different colored tissue papers. Then tear them and fold into small squares. When the paper is opened it becomes a large square with another square. How about blue and white tissue paper? Or any color you would prefer.

The paper is appears restored because there is blue paper on the opposite side of the white. The blue can be seen underneath the white paper.

You then need to fold the paper into a square. Lay it on the table and then get the restored paper.

The paper is actually in four squares and the whole is below it. You then will need to wave your hands of magic and miraculously the pieces come together. You will then need to hide the torn pieces and end the trick waving your hands. It’s magic!

Another great trick is the offering. You will need a piece of paper torn into four quarters. Give a piece of it to someone in the audience. You then announce that that is his prize. Then you pick someone else out in the audience and give them another piece.

This is meant to be light hearted and playful. This will be a good break for everyone including you as a means of releasing tension.

The next magic trick involves a piece of paper sectioned into thirds. Don’t completely tear the paper into thirds just partially torn into sections. Then ask someone in the audience to hold the edge of the paper. Then ask him to tear from the center. You then reveal your hand that the paper is actually in tact as you move and wave your hands and show the paper from your other hand.

Another great magic trick is the floating ball. Crumple the paper into a ball using one hand and then put your other hand on top of it. The move one hand and the paper seems to float into the air.

The trick involves using black thread which is placed over your ear and looped. The other end is tied to your clothing button and you pull the thread so that the ball floats.

You will need to practice this trick in advance so that no one is able to see the thread and see your hands pull on it. Spend some time practicing it so that you are comfortable doing it.
