Some Easy Magic Tricks
The wonder of magic makes it both interesting to watch and fun to practice. There are some well known magicians such as Houdini, David Copperfield and Penn and Teller. If you are interested in doing magic tricks, you may want to start with easy ones first until you feel comfortable doing them. Magic essentially involves tricks and illusions.
The object of magic is illusion. The magician\'s purpose is to wave hands and to deceive others into thinking that they actually see something other than what they see. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways.
A great relatively simple trick involves paper. What you need to do is put a plain piece of paper it in an envelope and when you take it out it has writing on it. It\'s magic, you announce as you wave your hands feverishly.
The trick involves two envelopes. You will need to glue them together so it looks like you just have one. You now have two pockets. You place the blank piece of paper in one and the one you have written on in the other. You will need to prepare this trick in advance. Basically, this trick involves the substitution of one envelope for another.
Another great magic trick to do that you need to plan ahead involves having an audience member write a word and a piece of paper and you are able to guess the word.
You need to request that an audience member write a word on a piece of paper. Ask them to fold the paper in half and then again. You then are going to tear the paper into pieces and then you use a lighter to burn it and put it into a pot. You will then announce your magic word such as \"Presto\" or \"Magiko\" and reveal the word.
To do the magic trick, get a piece of paper and write a word in the center of the paper. Then fold it again and again. Now, your word is at the top corner of the paper. Then tear the paper and you have the word in your hand. When you are doing this trick try not to burn that corner of the paper or you will not be able to see the word.
Keep in mind that you will need to rehearse jokes or stories when you are doing these tricks. You are the showman and you need to keep the audience entertained while you are doing your magic tricks. You need to practice both of them in advance so that you feel comfortable doing them.
You may want to come up with your own words to describe the magic of the trick. Also practice waving your hands as the finale announcing that you have done the illusion successfully.
